Wisdom for your Life

Wisdom by definition means the ability to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense and insight. Wisdom is associated with attributes such as unbiased judgment, compassion, experiential self-knowledge, self-transcendence and non-attachment, and virtues such as ethics and benevolence. Life is the driving essence of homosapiens. Ranging back to hundred of decades, the first sight of wisdom was developed when people first understood the science of care. Millions of years after it would be justifiable to accept the fact that we have evolved and yet we are evolving in this rapidly progressing world. The wisdom laid down by us influenced by the environment enabled the human species to create wonders that are still worth mentioning.

Even though eventually somehow most of the people succeed in achieving the glorified feat of becoming a physician, the true perspective on most of the grand ambitions has dramatically changed over the years for most of us. It is the truth that there are still many who are never motivated by a passion for saving lives, neither driven by a need to get rid world of its many diseases. Medicine is just considered a big business that is profitable yet respected in most platforms. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t take that long to figure out the painful but liberating truth as med students progressed in the course of their study.

“There’s no such thing as the best medical doctor in the world.”

It's so heart wrenching to observe that still in this modern era where the exposure to knowledge and the advancement in studies has lead us to dig a pool full of interesting facts. A vision which leads us to various opportunities, a chance which signifies our passion and a goal set to achieve. All we need is the true dedication to what we actually want to pursue. Our path of life should not be just picked on the basis of it trending fame in the society but our genuine willingness towards an intention should be our driving force to persevere for our aspiration.

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” — Steve Jobs
